Kyzier K. Dauphinais was born January 17, 1998 in Eagle Butte, SD to Royce and Lana (Brown Thunder) Dauphinais. He attended school in both Dupree and Cheyenne Eagle Butte where he was currently a senior.
Kyzier had a true passion for basketball and was able to play for two schools. He enjoyed traveling to area tournaments and spending time shooting all the hoops he could. During his spare time, Kyzier learned to draw, joined a boxing club and enjoyed being around his friends, whom he called his brothers.
Kyzier was very generous when it came to helping his friends. He would tell his mom he might need extra money just in case one of his teammates didn’t have any so he could share. His mom always made sure he helped others. Kyzier was a prankster and was always making his mom and family laugh. He was very proud of his siblings, and of both of his nieces, ShannJo and Bobbileish.
Those of you who knew Kyzier knew him to be happy for others’ blessings. Every time his friends accomplished life goals, he was very proud of them and would tell his mom all about it.
Kyzier spent a lot of his time at the Teen Center and on nice days you could find him with his brothers at the NDN courts playing basketball or just working on his dunks. He was very healthy and always had healthy eating habits. He worked out at home. His mom would come home to him doing pullups outside his room door or on his weight bench.
Kyzier would play 2K with his brother, Casmere “Cash”, and as most brothers, they were very competitive. He would also sit outside with his older brother, Caleb, and talk about everything under the sun and over the moon.
Kyzier was always thanking his sister, Korryll, for cooking for him and his brothers. He loved her cooking so much and was forever grateful.
Kyzier had a few close friends who he spent time with on a daily basis, and they include: Baylon, Charles, Darwyn, Denton, Joseph, Wesley, Dakota, Jalen S., Dre’mys and Tommy Jo.
Kyzier’s mom always held a special place in her heart for Isabella Swan and Kyzier knew she did.
Kyzier did a lot of great deeds, too many to name. His last and greatest gift was donating his organs to save the life of seven others so they may go on giving in his honor! He has changed the lives of the seven families and his own through his life giving gifts.
God will reward him through all that he has given. Kyzier would not want anything in return. He only wanted happiness for others because he was such a caring son.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Lana Dauphinais (Andy Lind); his father Royce Dauphinais; brothers: Caleb, Casmere, and Camden; sisters: Korryll, Tyree, Mila and Cree; nieces: ShannJo and Bobbileish; his pitbull, Titan; and all of his basketball brothers.
Kyzier joins his Grandma Hattie; Grandpa Ben; Uncle Lester; friend, Condi; and boxing buddy, Austin, in Heaven.
