Lawrence Herbert Kirschenmann was born September 19, 1945 in Pierre, South Dakota to Alvin and Mayo (Sadler) Kirschenmann. He was the oldest of five children. He was raised on a farm south of Harrold.
Lawrence met Doneta Rader and eventually married in 1972; to this union, three boys were born: Steve, Mike, and Roger. Lawrence and Doneta worked side by side on the family farm in Harrold. In November of 1977, they moved to Ree Heights to work for P. Spear Ranch. He enjoyed working cattle, putting up hay, and running the combine. He also took great pride in feeding and caring for the calves for the past 40 years. His three sons have grown up in their father’s footsteps and share a love for cattle and ranch life.
His memory will be cherished by his wife, Doneta; three sons: Steve, Mike, and Roger; siblings: Art (Lynn) Kirschenmann, Merlin (Lois) Kirschenmann, Alma (Jerry) Lappe, and Kristy (Pete) Severson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Reck Funeral Home of Miller has been entrusted with Lawrence’s arrangements.

I’m so sorry about your loss! You are in my prayers!
Love you Snooks! You were always there for me in so many ways. You are gone to a better place but you will always be remembered. RIP Big Brother!
I am sorry to hear about your loved one. Prayers being sent to you all.
Our sympathy to Lawrence Kirschenmann Family: Rest in peace Lawrence. We had a lot of fun as kids growing up. You tried in vain to teach me to ride a horse! We pitched a lot of baseball together and had a lot of good visits over the years. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
Uncle Lawrence, You were always that constant presence. Your slick humor and soft spoken words are something I will forever cherish. Almost 4 months ago when I lost my dad was the first time I had ever seen the true sensitive side of you and I cannot put into words how comforting it was to have you there. We will forever cherish your memory. Rest Peacefully.
Doneta and boys, Art, Merlin, Alma and Kristy. Prayers and Hugs to each of you. May God guide you through this difficult time. I have many fond memories of us growing up and sharing times. Take Care and God Bless.
Doneta, Steve, Mike, Roger and family. Words can’t not express the sorrow I am feeling over the loss of Uncle Lawrence. He was a great man and he will be missed by all. Prayers are sent your way.
