Linelle Mason, 76, of Miller, passed away Monday, October, 26, 2015 at the Avera Hand County Memorial Hospital, Miller.
Funeral service were held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 30, 2015 at the First Baptist Church, Miller with Pastor Kent Atkinson officiating. Burial followed at the Highmore Cemetery. Visitation was held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 29, 2015 with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service, all at Reck Funeral Home, Miller.
Linelle was born on June 6, 1939 in Madison, SD to Clarence and Velma (Dilly) Hackett. She attended Madison High School, graduating in 1958. She obtained her cosmetology license after graduating from Stewart’s Cosmetology School in 1961. Linelle married Russell Mason on November 6, 1965 in Custer, SD. The couple welcomed one daughter, Renae, into their home. After returning to Miller, Linelle opened Linelle’s Beauty Salon, continuing to run her business until shortly before her death.
Linelle enjoyed planting flowers in her garden, following her grandchildren’s many school and sport activities, and babysitting her great-grandson.
Her memory will be cherished by her daughter, Renae (Jim) Aalbers of Miller; grandchildren: Kayla, Austin, and Dillan Aalbers of Miller and Jessica Aalbers of Watertown; great-grandson, Kooper Coyle; sisters: Clairene Hackett of Volga, Vernice (Tom) Doyle of Colman, Kaelyn (Byron) Callies of Watertown; honorary sister, Bobinette Andersen of Worthington, MN; aunt, MaeDella Dilly of Madison; and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell and her parents, Clarence and Velma Hackett.
Reck Funeral Home of Miller has been entrusted with Linelle’s arrangements.
