L’Lyn Paige Bowker, 58, of Eagle Butte, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Monument Health Hospital, Rapid City.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 13, 2026, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Eagle Butte. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Episcopal Cemetery, LaPlant. A wake service will be 6:00 p.m., Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the church, with a procession from the 4-mile at 4:00 p.m.

L’Lyn Paige Bowker was born on October 20, 1967, to Johnny Malcolm Bowker and Ethelyn Noisy Hawk. As the eldest of six children, including two younger brothers, Paige grew up in Eagle Butte, SD. She attended grade school there, then high school, and graduated from Dietrich, ID. She took the Dietrich High School to State in track and took first place in shotput. She lived with her foster parents, the Astle Family and her foster sister, Sherrie Astle.

After graduation, Paige moved back home, then later relocated to Minneapolis, MN, where she worked at the Target Center Stadium for several years before returning to Eagle Butte for the rest of her life. In 2010, she adopted her loving son, Quade McCoy Bowker. Paige dedicated herself to raising and supporting Quade until her untimely passing.

She worked in various roles with the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe and later started her own business, “Lunchbox by Paige.” Cooking and baking were her passions, which she shared with her nieces and nephews. Paige was always a dependable source for advice on cooking, and she had a big heart that she freely shared with others. She kept her family and friends in prayer and was always there when needed. Paige worked as the office manager at Mini Mart, where cooking for the employees was also her passion. She was a happy, strong, and family-oriented person and served as the matriarch of the Bowker family.

Paige was a daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, granddaughter, and friend who will be truly missed, and so many hearts broken the day the Lord took this sweet, full of life Matriarch home as her time on earth was done, and the Lord needed her home. Our hearts may be broken, but we all have memories forever in our hearts, and if there was one thing she left, it was an impression on each of us that life is too short to be mad judgmental, and selective in choosing who to be family and friends. She taught us that no matter what, be kind and loving and never pass judgment on another, no matter where they come from in life. Be kind and loving, take a chance, love and enjoy life to the fullest.

Paige is survived by her siblings, Rhea (Jesse) Hall, Bonnie (Perry) Laclaire, Connie (Frankie) Cavanaugh, Joni Lynn Bowker, LeVohn Sargent, and Clinton Sargent.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Malcolm Bowker and Ethelyn Noisy Hawk Sargent; brother, John C. Bowker; special niece, Jerie L’lyn Cavanaugh; grandparents: Leonard C. Noisy Hawk, Thelma Scares The Hawk, Beatrice Bowker and Benjamin Bowker; grandpas: Clardy Nelson Garfield, Gilford Noisy Hawk, Everette Noisy Hawk, Herbert Scares The Hawk, and Richard Scares the Hawk; uncles: Dalton Noisy Hawk and Barry Noisy Hawk; and aunt, Elgene Noisy Hawk.

Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with L’Lyn’s arrangements.
