Lorraine “Lolly” B. Martin, 86, of Agar, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Pierre.
Lorraine B. Allison was born March 24, 1924 at Onida, SD to Vern and Agnas (Hagen) Allison. She attended school at Onida graduating in 1943.

Over the years Lolly has enjoyed the time she was able to spend with family and friends. She loved her coffee parties, being involved with community events but most of all; any time she was able to visit with people she dearly enjoyed. Lolly spent her spare time gardening, sewing, quilting, fishing, painting, completing puzzles and reading. She was a member of the Agar Legion Auxiliary for 65 years and various other extension clubs and women’s organizations over the years. She was especially proud to be able to judge the local poppy poster and essay contest.
Her memory will be cherished by her two daughters: JoAnn (Tom) Eliason of Gregory and Linda (Charles) Ellis of Pierre; her nine grandchildren: Blaine (Shari) Eliason, Greg (Trish) Eliason, Jill (Arturo) Barreto, Doug (Rachel) Eliason, Sally (Sid) Atkin, Robert Eliason, Beth Eliason, Blake (Meghan) Eliason and Glen Ellis; 16 great grandchildren: Katie, Sam, Will, and Jake Eliason, Isaac, Eli and Luke Barreto, Jack and Max Eliason, Tess, Gracie and Mya Atkin, Abby and Bridget Eliason, Cody Dewell and Cord Ellis; one great great granddaughter: Izzabell Dewell and two sisters: Margaret (Joe) Nahrstd and Darlene Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, and three siblings: Doris “Dody” Martin, Virginia Beals and Vern Allison.
Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Lorraine's arrangements.

I have many fond memories of Lolly. As a little girl I loved stopping in the Post Office and having her weigh me to see how much it would cost to mail me to see my grandma.
My deepest sympathy to the family of Lolly, she was a wonderful woman, she will be terribly missed. May God’s love comfort you during this time of loss.
Our hearts go out to Lolly’s family. We have so many wonderful memories of Lolly and her beautiful smile. There is a comfort in knowing that Rich is holding Lolly close to him now.
May God hold you close to His heart during this difficult time.
Family of Lolly…….I was so shocked to read this morning that you lost Lolly..she was such a charming and exciting person. Always enjoyed her as a satisfied customer and loved her smile. Our sympathies are with you.
Lolly became my “back up” Grandma when mine passed away – and she was marvelous at it! Her great-grandson, Cord, also just loved her to pieces! He thought she was very wise, loving and giving. Lolly was a wonderfully loving and caring and will be missed! Have a great time now with Ritchie, Lolly, we all love you very, very much!
Rest in peace, Lolly.
