Lorrayne Erickson, 83, of Aberdeen, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at her home.
Funeral services was held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the United Methodist Church, Gettysburg, with Pastor Jeff Adel presiding. Burial followed in the Gettysburg Cemetery. A prayer service began at 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 13, 2017 at the church with visitation one hour prior.
Lorrayne Joyce Kilian was born November 6, 1933 to Harry and Nora (Paulson) Kilian at Gettysburg, SD. She attended school at Gettysburg.
On December 21, 1951, Lorrayne was united in marriage to Curtis A. Erickson in Pierre. From this marriage, they were blessed with five daughters and four sons.
Throughout their married years, they lived in Eagle Butte; Lincoln, Nebraska; Gettysburg; and Lorrayne was currently residing in Aberdeen.
Lorrayne enjoyed serving the public in a variety of ways. Together, Curt and Lorrayne managed several lounge and dining establishments. Upon retirement, she worked for Kessler’s Deli making the best salads in Aberdeen. Through her job involvements, she made many lasting friendships along the way.
Lorrayne had many interests over the years including sewing, cooking, crafting, canning, gardening, and crocheting. Her greatest accomplishments were making beautiful quilts for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her children: Sandy Fish of Aberdeen, Rhonda (Dwight) Hossle of Faulkton, Leann (Gary) Hardie of Faulkton, Jeff (Corky Thompson) Erickson of Aberdeen, Lori (Kraig) Archer of Sisseton, Nicky (Jon) Ludens of Sioux Falls, and Jason (Kelli) Erickson of Aberdeen, SD; 18 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister, Betty (Bill) Hermann of Hoven; sisters-in-law: Carletta Kilian, June Kilian, and Pat Kilian; many nieces and nephews; and her loyal companion, her dog, Ralph. Her memory will be cherished forever by her seven children and those who considered her a second mom.
Lorrayne was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Erickson; two infant sons, Lonnie Dale and Bradley Dale; granddaughter, Chloe Larae Erickson; parents, Harry and Nora Kilian; brothers: Leo, Keith, Lorren (twin), Harry Jr., and Mick; and sister, Norita.
Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Lorrayne’s arrangements.

Curt and Lorrayne, good people, good memories…dad sure thought a lot of them, these were his true friends and I appreciate them for being good to my dad. Godspeed Lorrayne.
