Lynn L. Lower, 66, of Gettysburg, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017, at his home.

Memorial Mass was held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 24, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gettysburg, with Fr. Jerry Kopel presiding. Burial of his cremains followed at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Seneca.

Lynn Lee Lower was born January 12, 1951 at Faulkton, SD to Linden and Ruby (Duncan) Lower. He grew up and received his education at Gettysburg High School. Following graduation, Lynn attended airline school in Kansas City and went to work for Chicago O’Hara Airport.

Lynn found his true passion working construction. This has allowed him to live in Arizona, Pierre, Rapid City and Aberdeen prior to returning to Gettysburg; where he resided at the time of his passing.

In his free time, he loved to fish and take his friends hunting. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family.

Lynn is survived by his brother, Rex Lower, Gettysburg; step-father, Gerald Peters, Gettysburg; uncle, Raymond Duncan, Lakeside, AZ; aunt, Mary (Dale) Eriksen, Lebanon; nieces and nephews: Jared Lower (Ollie Nauman), Alonna (Brent) Krueger, and Dustin Lower; cousins: Marty (Carol) Eriksen and Jerold (Amy) Buechler; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents: Gerald “Brick” and Matilda Duncan, Madison “Babe” and Amanda Lower and Doris Herring; and two aunts: Elaine Buechler and Helen Nelson.

Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Lynn’s arrangements.

A Memorial Mass was held on July 24, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 203 E. Garfield Ave in Gettysburg, South Dakota 57442
A Graveside Service was held on July 24, 2017 at 12:30 PM at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Seneca, SD

  2. just helped him out with a flat tire couple of weeks ago. was always a good hearted person. good hearted person was always very friendly and would give you the shirt off his back if nesecary just helped him with a flat tire couple weeks ago ..
