Margaret Schroeder, 94, of Faulkton, passed away, Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at the Faulkton Healthcare Center.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2008 at the Orient Lutheran Church with Pastor Rob Nedbalek officiating. Burial was in the Prairie View Cemetery at Orient. Visitation was held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Luce Funeral Home in Faulkton.

Margaret Marie Mann was born December 29, 1913 to George and Bertha (Stodier) Mann at Gettysburg. She attended school in Gettysburg and played in a band with her father and brother throughout the area.

On September 12, 1936 she married Fred Schroeder. They lived in various places in Spink, Beadle, Hand, and Faulk Counties. In 1956 they moved to the Orient area. In 1975 she moved to Faulkton and resided at the Village until moving to the nursing home in 2004.

Margaret was a member of the Orient Lutheran Church, the VFW Auxiliary, Autumn Senior Center and the Orient Ladies Aide.

She is survived by four sons: Clarence, Louis and Herman (Kyra) all of Faulkton and Herbert (Ruth Ann) of Powderly, Texas; one daughter: Darlene (Jessie) Watson of Redfield; nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1974, three brothers, three sisters and one grandson.

Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton has been entrusted with Margaret's arrangements.
