Natalie Dundon

Natalie Elenore Fire Dundon, 66, of Eagle Butte, a compassionate, loving mother, unexpectedly passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., MDT, Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Eagle Butte, with Mother Margaret Watson presiding. A meal will followed the burial in the Dupree Family Cemetery, rural Cherry Creek. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service.
Natalie was born on September 29th, 1950, in Chamberlin, SD. She grew up in Ft Thompson and Eagle Butte and moved to Gallop, New Mexico for college. This is where she met her ex-husband Michael Dundon the father of all four of her children. A lifelong community member, working at the women’s shelter, and at the dormitory as a health representative. She graduated from Pierre School of Practical Nursing in 1980, and worked at the IHS until she was diagnosed with RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) and was no longer able to work. Her surviving children remember her as a strong, devoted loving mother who always encouraged them to pursue happiness.
We will always remember how Halloween was her favorite holiday, she loved camping with the kids and playing poker with the girls.
Natalie is survived by her children: Thomas, Melissa, Elizabeth, and Morgan Dundon; grandson, Mathew Houston; step grandchildren: Isabela Enger (Dundon), Andrew, Steven, and Hannah Monichan; uncle Ezra Yetter; many cousins; and her eight cats and one dog.
She was proceeded in death by her father, Harvey Fire; mother, Blanche Tolman; brother, Joseph Fire; aunts: Isalabel, Cecelia, and Della Saul; and her grandparents.
