Oletha married Sherman Rausch on November 22, 1947. They settled on the family farm southwest of Gettysburg where they began their farming career and started their family. She began her work with First Potter County Bank where she worked for many years and loved both her job and co-workers.
Oletha loved her many friends and family. She immensely enjoyed bridge, was an avid reader and a social golfer. Oletha loved to follow her children’s and grandchildren’s activities. She was especially a fan of their basketball games.
She was a member of the Gettysburg United Methodist Church and was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star where she made lifelong friends and had the opportunity to serve in Grand Lodge.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Sherman; daughter: Nancy (Mike) Walz of Littleton, CO; son: Jeff (Diane) Rausch of Pierre; grandchildren: Kristen (Scott) Hangebrauck of St. Louis Park, MN, Kyle (Jesyna) Rausch of Fairbanks, AK and Andrew Walz of Littleton, CO; and two sisters: Betty (Robert) Boulding of Lake Forest, CA and Mary (Derald) Hanson of Gettysburg.
