Patricia “Patty” Jean LeBeau was born in Eagle Butte, SD, on September 27, 1965, to Dorothy (Joens) and Floyd LeBeau Sr. After a lengthy battle with illness, God saw that she was tired and called her home on March 10, 2017 in Aberdeen, SD.
Patty was the youngest of 10 children and spent her youth growing up along the river in the Gettysburg and Swiftbird areas. She attended school in Eagle Butte, SD, St. Joseph’s in Chamberlain, SD, and Stephan, SD.
Patty was a kind and loving person with a beautiful soul. Her charismatic personality and free spirit took her many places. She eventually called Aberdeen home and shared the remainder of her life with her special friend, Rick Daschle.
Patty lived a full life and her love for travel and new experiences did not hinder her from being a hard worker; it in fact made her a ‘jack of all trades’. Her employment history ranges from construction to healthcare; which in itself tells you that she wasn't afraid of work.
Patty had no biological children, but she treated her nephews and nieces as her own.
She is survived by her brothers: Clem (Theresa) White Dog Sr. and Gordon (Ella) LeBeau all of Eagle Butte, SD, and Floyd LeBeau Jr. of Aberdeen, SD; sisters: Linda Lebeau of Greenbay, WI, and Candace Minder of Aberdeen, SD; special friend, Richard Daschle of Aberdeen, SD; hunka sister, Janet Collins of Eagle Butte, SD; and three hunka daughters: Kelly Roach, Camie Roach and Pamela Roach Bruguier; along with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and relatives.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Doran (Jay) White Dog, Bill LeBeau, and Virgil LeBeau (infant); sister, Alice White Dog; and sister-in-law, Patricia (Scares the Hawk) LeBeau.
Luce Funeral Chapel of Eagle Butte has been entrusted with Patricia’s arrangements.
