Pauline Liechti, 91 of Seneca, passed away Friday, February 12, 2016 at Avera Mother Joseph Manor, Aberdeen.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Seneca with Pastor Timothy Koch officiating. Burial followed in the Oakland Cemetery, Seneca. Visitation was held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Luce Funeral Home, Faulkton.

Pauline was born on June 13, 1924 in Gettysburg to Emery and Emma (Schuett) Stebbins. She graduated from Seneca Township School in 1942 and attended Northern State University of Aberdeen where she received her teaching certificate.

On October 17, 1947, Pauline was united in marriage to William E. Liechti, Sr. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Seneca.  She taught school for several years in the Seneca area in a one room school house.   She was a loving wife and mother to her four children of whom she loved dearly and will always be loved.

She is survived by her four children:  Edward Liechti of Seneca, Richard Liechti  of San Miguel, CA and twin daughters, Pamela Liechti of Aberdeen, and Paulette (Ziebart) Miller and husband Barry of Seeley Lake, MT;  granddaughter, Jennifer Ziebart and great granddaughter, Jayda Jean of Mitchell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Liechti; parents, Emery and Emma (Schuett) Stebbins; four brothers:  Roy, Vern, Duane (Wayne), and Glenn; and two sisters:  Haydee and Eunice.

Luce Funeral Home of Faulkton has been entrusted with Pauline’s arrangements.
