Rose Fishan, formerly of Gettysburg, South Dakota passed away Friday, March 4, 2011 in Montgomery, Al at the age of 98 where she was a resident of John Knox Manor II.

A graveside service will be at 11:00a.m., Friday, March 11, 2011 at the Gettysburg Cemetery with Pastor Daniel Tews officiating.

Rose Fishan was born December 10, 1912 at Arlington, South Dakota. She married Joseph H. Fishan and moved to Gettysburg S.D in July of 1943 where she was a long time member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and three brothers one of which was her twin.

She is survived by her three daughters: Sally Kesler (Calvin) of Fair Oaks, California, Marlys Lawrence (deceased Edgar) of Huntington, Texas and JoAnne Garwood (James) of Millbrook, Alabama; numerous grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren, step great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Rose’s arrangements.
