Royce Bowker Bianas

Royce Lee Bowker Bianas, 13, of Swiftbird, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at his home.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. MST, Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Tiospaye Topa School Gym, LaPlant with Rev. Norman Blue Coat officiating. Burial followed in the UCC Cemetery at LaPlant. An all night wake began Friday, November 25, 2011 with a procession at 4:00 p.m., east of LaPlant and services held at 7:00 p.m at the gym.

Royce Lee Bowker Bianas was born January 2, 1998 in Pierre, SD to Derek & Lisa (Bowker) Bianas. He attended the Tiospaye Topa School from Kindergarten to 8^th grade which he was currently in.

Royce’s hobbies included fencing, branding, hunting, fishing and riding in the tractor with his dad. Royce was very athletic in sports: playing basketball and football. He also liked to spend time playing X-Box 360, Wii games, chewing gum, drinking pop and listening to music.

Royce enjoyed eating Grandma Dot’s biscuits and gravy. He always said “nobody can make gravy like grandma!”

Royce will be remembered as one who liked to joke around and always had a smile on his face.

He will be deeply missed by his parents; two sisters: Alexie and Ashley; one brother, Derek, Jr.; his grandmas: Eldora Black Eagle and Dorothy Bowker; his uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

Royce was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Kenneth Chris Bianas, Jr.; paternal grandma, Kathy Bianas Cook; maternal grandfather, Jonas Bowker, Jr. and cousin Eric Scott.

Luce Funeral Chapel of Eagle Butte has been entrusted with Royce’s arrangements.
