Sheldon Red Bear, 46, of Eagle Butte, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Cheyenne River Health Center, Eagle Butte.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. MST, Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Eagle Butte. Burial will follow in St. James Episcopal Cemetery, Bear Creek. A wake service will be 6:00 p.m., Monday, February 16, 2026, at the church with a procession from the 4-Mile at 4:00 p.m.

Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Sheldon’s arrangements.

  5. oh uncle, im loss of words right now and this all happened yesterday, so much can happen within a short amount of time. im gonna miss you alot, I love you uncle. have a safe journey home to the star nation 💔 you left way to soon, awe my prayers are with my auntie d🤍 i love you so much auntie. stay strong, im here if you need anything. im sorry I’m so far away, but I promise you I’ll do everything I can just to be there for you auntie.
