Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. MDT, Friday, July 3, 2009 at the Dupree Community Building, Dupree, SD, with LeRoy Bobtail Bear officiating. Burial followed in the Dupree Cemetery.
Shianne Marie Little Wounded was born on June 25, 2009 at 4:26 a.m. (CDT) at the Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. She weighed 5 lbs., 10 oz. and was 17 1/2 inches long. Her proud mother Stephanie Marie Little Wounded brought her home on June 26, 2009, where she was surrounded by loved ones before entering the spirit world on June 27, 2009 at 10:52 p.m. in Dupree, SD.
She is survived by her mother, Stephanie Marie; grandparents, Thurman Sr. and Lee Little Wounded; aunts: Karri, Jessie, Carmen, Melanie and Tristin; uncles: Jon, Thurman Jr. and Noah; along with many other loving cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Linda Charger; great grandparents, Nathan and Flora Little Wounded and cousin, Trevor Jon Little Wounded.
Luce Funeral Chapel of Eagle Butte has been entrusted with Chianne’s arrangements.
