Antoinette “Toni” (LeBeau) Sackett was born to Jack and LaVera (LeBeau) Levell on June 20, 1959 at Frankfurt, Germany. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs, IA. On November 13, 1982, Toni married Anthony D. Sackett in Carter Lake, IA.
She worked at various jobs over the years, and for the last 20 years has worked with the Carter Lake Improvement Club.
From an early age, Toni loved to travel. As a child, she came to South Dakota to spend three weeks each year visiting relatives and in later years also taking in some of the tourist attractions in Deadwood and the Hills area. In the past couple of years Toni was able to take her first cruise to the Caribbean; visiting Mexico, the Cayman Islands, and Jamaica. She also rode in a submarine 100 feet under the Caribbean Sea. As Toni dreamed of traveling, she would say, “I’m just gonna go, just drive until I feel like coming back.” Last year she was able to do that, along with her longtime friend, Michael. They visited a friend in Colorado and took in many of the sights of the area. She enjoyed the beauty of Colorado and had many stories of their adventures.
Some of Toni’s hobbies included putting puzzles together, planting flowers and gardening, and playing darts. She was on a dart team and helped her team to city championships year after year. She also loved animals, especially Baby, Sassy and her old cat, Tiger.
Toni enjoyed volunteering her time in the community; putting together holiday activities, parties, and fund raisers for the children of Carter Lake, Halloween being her favorite time.
Family was most important to Toni, and she based her whole life around them and her friends. Everything she did included someone that she loved. She was the kind of woman who rarely thought of herself, always doing things for others. She was very kind and caring, having room in her heart for everyone, especially her family and friends.
Toni is survived by her husband, Anthony D. Sackett; sons: Anthony “A.J.” Sackett, James “Jimmy” Sackett, and William “Willy” Sackett all of Carter Lake, IA; grandchildren: Bobby Allen Joseph, Dillon James, Alyssa Rain, Tayah Brielle, William Allan, and Brooklyn Faith; siblings: Lucille Briggs, Jack Levell, and Melissa Sapienza; special friend, Michael Jackson; and many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and LaVera (LeBeau) Levell and many other relatives.
Luce Funeral Chapel of Eagle Butte has been entrusted with Toni’s arrangements.

Words cannot express how deeply sorry we are for your loss. Toni always has a smile and a contagious laugh that would fill the room. Please take comfort in your memories and may God bless you during this difficult time.

Sister, I love you, you are my sister, mother, and best friend. you have always been my world. I will always be thinking of you. We will dance again sister..
I am so sorry to hear the news about your recent loss of your dear family member and Friend.
With my sincere condolences, I write you today. Your family are in my
thoughts and prayers. I am sending you a note of comfort and a sincere hope that
you can find peace at this hurtful time. Remember, Jesus even shed tears for his
friend “Lazarus" in the Bible-died. Death is a very hurtful enemy of the living.
(Revelation 21:1-4)
I found comfort with my mothers lost at age thirteen, by reading scriptures. I received a letter similar to this one, with a similar message. I found reading and searching for God and his promises helped. I visited a website (JW.ORG) and It is full of scriptures of Hope and information about the Bible, and I loved the resurrection hope the bible talks about. I am sure you will as well. Its encouraging and peaceful.
With all my prayers to your family, and deepest sympathy.
Sincerely Yours,
Helen West
So very sorry to just hear about this now when it actually happening awhile ago. Toni was a kindhearted person who I watched grow up through Jack bringing her around. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this sad moment.
Thinking of you.. it’s jimmy’s birthday and we were just reminiscing about the times when you were here with us . Always taking care of us didn’t matter how grown we were. You loved your boys and your grandkids 💙 I know most days you’d be proud for how strong they’ve all been & how they stick together no Matt how hard times are. They figure it out! Anthony did exactly what you told him to do. Even though you never had the chance to meet your granddaughter Eveahla, you would seriously be so impressed with the lil woman she is becoming. Her math scores were incredible and she actually scored as one of the highest nationally. Anthony definitely did his thing raising her.. one thing I know you would be proud of is he never gave up! He told you he wouldn’t even tho he had no idea how to raise a girl he did amazingly well. Now your granddaughter Tayah is graduated & engaged and is expecting around may 12th crazy to think you would be a great grandmother 🌸🎁🙏 you’re definitely missed and thought of daily! We miss u Toni please keep these boys protected and the grandkids in your hands showing the way on the days we struggle to find our way. Til we meet again RIH always & forever in our hearts 💕
