Troy loved nature. He spent his time hunting, fishing and taking in the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Troy also took pride in the time he gave to the Sanchez Martial Arts Club in Redfield, where he was an instructor. He had reached his 1st Degree Black Belt. Troy enjoyed having time to get to know the martial arts community from all over South Dakota.
Troy’s family will miss the time he gave to 4-H, showing sheep and rabbits. But most of all, his love of having coffee and breakfast ready for them each morning.
Troy’s life will be cherished by his wife, Kim of Rockham; his children: Angel of Puyallup, WA, Dion, Wyatt and Samantha of Rockham; one grandchild, Aedyn; his mother, Gloria of Rockham; four siblings: Brad (Diane) and Carolyn (Kenny) Simon of Aberdeen, Doug (Linda) of Rockham and Susie (Mark) Long of Cresbard; his father-in-law, Joseph Horner of Aberdeen; mother-in-law, Bonnie Papke of Ipswich; sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Buster) Mathern of Newell and Mary Becker of Fairmont, MN; and numerous foster children, nieces, nephews and cousins.
