Una McKinney, 92, of Miller, died Friday, October 12, 2007 at the Courtyard Villa Assisted Living in Miller.

Funeral services were held 2:00p.m., Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at the First Presbyterian Church, Miller with Rev. Brian Jones officiating. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Miller, directed by Reck Funeral Home of Miller. Visitation was held 3:00-7:00p.m., Monday, October 15 with a 7:00p.m. prayer service at Reck Funeral Home in Miller.

Una Pearl Palmer was born June 21, 1915 to Calvin and Blanche (Porter) Palmer in Hand County. She married Floyd McKinney on December 26, 1935 in Miller. They farmed on the home place in Mondamin Township until 1974 when they moved into Miller. She became a resident of Courtyard Villa Assisted Living on August 26, 2006.

She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, and visiting with family and friends.

Left to cherish Una’s life is her three daughters: Nilas (Lowell) Krog of Miller, Janith (Ron) Morrison of Dell Rapids, and Callie McKinney of Ft. Pierre; son: Jess McKinney of Renner; nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; fifteen great-great grandchildren, two sisters: Ida Moser of Miller and Dorothy Manning of Minnesota; one brother: Loren (Shirley) Palmer of Minnesota; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Una was preceded in death by her husband Floyd on August 23, 1991; parents; five sisters: Margaret Lewellen, Stella Christenson, Ella Kuper, Merley Droppers, and Hazel Hancock; one granddaughter: Billie Hall; and one great granddaughter: Brandi Jean Krog.
