  5. So sorry to hear about your mom. She was a great lady. I remember the morning she called me to say the Bunkhouse had been broken into. There is Vi, me, Marti and a bat. Vi said there’s nobody in there and walked on in. Of course the purse she carried at the time would have killed someone if she hit them in the head with it!! She will be missed but leaves many memories with a lot of different people! God Bless

  6. To Wayne, Peggy and family, so sorry to hear of Vi’s passing, I will never forget working with her and being a neighbor for many many years. She was a hard worker and an excellent cook! May God give you peace and comfort you during this time.

  9. Hi Cousins,
I’m so surprised to hear about Aunt Vi, and I’m so sorry about the loss of your Mom. I’m sure it’s very difficult especially since you are very close to her and you are very dear to her.
It was so nice to see her when she had stopped by the estate sale in Mobridge for our Mother’s things. I home you find some comfort at this very sad time.

    Take care.

    Lori

  11. sorry to hear about your mom. Frances

  12. Wayne & Peggy, When I heard your mom passed away many memories of working with your mom at the Bunkhouse came to me like it was yesterday. But I have always remembered through the years her and all the wonderful food she prepared; the homemade roast beef dinners, the bread pudding with half & half poured over it, cinnamon rolls, cookies, all the great soups, macaroni salad which I’ve tried and tried to re-create and can’t get it like hers to save my soul, and the list goes on and on. To this day when I cut roast beef I can remember your mom telling me to be sure to cut it against the grain so it’s tender! Now, how’s that for influence! Your mom will be greatly missed and I hope you can find peace in all the wonderful memories people have of her! -Kaye (Logan) O’Neal
