Wesley Jay Meyer was born May 29, 1987, in Sidney, Ohio, to Roger and Alisa Meyer. He was raised on the family farm near Russia, Ohio, with his two brothers and one sister and graduated from Russia High School. From there he attended and graduated from WyoTech in Laramie, Wyoming, specializing in Diesel Technology. In the following years, Wes traveled across the country while working on a harvest crew and being an over-the-road trucker. He married Chelsea Beckler in June of 2014. He changed occupations so he could spend more time at home and in October 2016 their daughter, Brynlee, was born.
Wes was passionate about agriculture, worked as a sales agronomist and helped start up on agronomy business. Wes loved to spend time with his family. He, Chelsea, and Brynlee would make trips to visit his family in either Ohio or Utah. Wes was caring and always willing to help someone in need. He enjoyed helping people whether it be agronomy, diesel engines, or building something. He was a “do-it-yourself” kind of guy.
Wes loved life and shared it with his wife, Chelsea (Beckler); daughter, Brynlee; parents: Roger Meyer (Theresa Grillot) of Russia, OH; Alisa Meyer (David Jenkinson) of Skull Valley, UT; three siblings: Dustin (Grace) Meyer, nephews: Chase and Jake, of Houston, OH; Levi Meyer (Erica Wright) of Palmer, AK; and Ila (Bryck) Rhodes, nephews: Elias and Marshal, of Woodbridge, VA; grandfathers: Sylvester "Bud" (Pauline) Meyer and Thomas Hussey; parents-in-law: Don and Tracey Beckler, and siblings-in-law: Taylor (Kyle) Bridge, Brianna and Ryan Beckler, all of Harrold.
Welcoming Wes in Heaven is his grandmothers: Sarah Hussey and Jean Meyer.
Luze Funeral Home of Highmore has been entrusted with Wesley’s arrangements.
