Lakota LeBeau, 80, of Gettysburg, SD passed away Wednesday June 3, 2026, at the Avera Oahe Manor, Gettysburg.

A celebration of life will be1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Luce Funeral Home, Gettysburg with Pastor David Otten presiding. Burial will follow in the Gettysburg Cemetery.

Lakota Twila (Von Wald) LeBeau was born October 5, 1945, to Edward and Elizabeth (Mound) Von Wald at the Old Cheyenne Agency, SD. She was raised in rural Potter County, where she attended country school prior to enrolling in Gettysburg School.

Lakota dedicated eighteen years of service to Oahe Manor, demonstrating commitment to assisting others. Her interests included gardening, cooking, canning, fishing, crocheting, working with plastic canvas, solving crossword puzzles, and engaging in card and board games with her grandchildren.

Grateful for having shared her life is her daughter, Lily Bramblee of Gettysburg; grandchildren: Gary LaPlant, Yolanda LaPlant (Scott Schumacher), Heather (Lee) Eckmann, and Kayla LaPlant; great-grandchildren: Keyahna, Tehya, Gavin, Amirah (Ira), and Jaden; great-great-granddaughter, Gianna; stepchildren: Roy, Linda, Brian, Bill, and Carmen; and numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ed and Elizabeth (Mound) VonWald; sister. Francine Ducheneaux; brother-in-law, Louie Ducheneaux; son-in-law, Dale Bramblee; life partner Harrold Combellick; and beloved pets, Ginger and Kookie.

Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Lakota’s arrangements.
